Phillips and Randolph were returning home from playing in the park as usual when many people were walking distance from this area.
On Wednesday, October 12, 2022, at around 7:30 p.m., Phillips and his sister were riding in the bicycle lane on Granny Road. When they did not expect at all, an SUV was coming towards them fast.
Phillips, who acted immediately to save his sister, jumped forward from the direction of the SUV and pushed her aside. He saved his sister’s life, but he fell victim to an unfortunate fate in an instant.

Phillips was badly injured but Randolph managed to escape with minor injuries. Their mother, Desiree Mack, learned that her two children had been injured in a car accident. At the same time, at that moment, she became helpless beyond words.

Hate to hear it, but the reality was the death of a brave boy named Phillips. On Thursday, the attending medical staff confirmed the unfortunate death. The untimely death of this child, who always thought of others, was an unimaginable tragedy for loved ones.
He never expected that this incident would happen to them two days after Phillips’ birthday, that is, very soon. The mother never expected that her child would leave this world so soon. However, in the end, she dreamed of the future of her beloved son and had to perform his funeral by herself.
Phillips’ family agreed to donate his organs to the hospital. Phillips’ aunt, Crystal Floww, started a GoFundMe page to help the family financially. Crystal Floww always admired her nephew for his smart and brave personality.
William Floyd School’s district administrators shared their frustrations on Twitter. They were relieved by knowing that Randolph made it, but shocked by the news of Tyler’s death.
with this disaster, the school announced the availability of counsellors to anyone who needed help. Also, they helped Philip’s family in numerous ways and Superintendent Lance Lohman never forgot to commemorate Tyler and Crystal’s family in his prayers.

While after the tragic accident authorities released information about the vehicle which was smashed. Over four years (2005-2009) they mistook it for a grey Chevrolet Equinox. Deputy Inspector General of Police David Doherty further mentioned that damages could happen to the passengers who travelled in front and on both sides. They are on an investigation searching the area for eyewitnesses or CCTV footage.
