What do you think of your neighbor? Can you believe them when they say to come in or hang out with them?
Norma Cook, an 85-year-old woman, and her cat, Hermes, got a neighbor in 2013. It was Chris Salvatore. But to their surprise, they became great friends sooner once they got to know each other.
Salvatore is an actor who is 31 years old. Though Norma was reaching the end of her life, Salvatore gave her a chance to join him. It was at this time that Norma required daily attention.
At age 89, she started to ruin her health severely. She was far from her relatives and grandchildren and was closer to the end. Salvatore recognizes this when he visits the hospital.
So he thought he had to do something.
So he organized a campaign, GoFundMe. He understood the severity when his two friends put caretakers to rest.
He learned that there was no option but to go to a facility. But I will not do that to my grandmother ever, Salvatore told her.
So, Cook was able to receive a new residence.
It is harder to die in a hospital bed away from loved ones. So, in a post, he said he was excited to share the final days of Cook with him, like his own mother.
Unexpectedly, these two became ideal housemates.
Cook said they once enjoyed champagne and munched peanuts while speaking with each other.
But in heartbreaking news, Cook passed away on February 15, 2017.
This emotional news was shared on Instagram by Salvatore, where he usually keeps records.
Salvatore told him he could be the best grandson Cook could ever get.
The human soul, Salvatore, gave Cook a peaceful and enlightening ending.
